This blog, this whole business really, I want to be more than just about food. It’s about our passions, troubles, triumphs, and imperfections. This is to get to know us more fully, to helpfully be transparent so if we ever do a job for you, you feel like you already know us. Hopefully it helps you want to come back and want to read more about us too.
There is a lot that goes into a business. Looking back over the last four years, I can’t believe all that we’ve learned and how far we’ve come. It boggles my mind. I feel like there’s still so much we have yet to learn. We’ve only just scraped the surface, which scares the heavenly daylights out of me. I feel like I need to take the limitless pill just so I can retain everything. It feels impossible. But other people have done it, so why can’t we, right? Laawdy lawdy… Our latest endeavor is growing the business. It’s been a year in the making, with many stressful days, a few tears, pulling of hair, and hours on the phone and computer trying to research. And many many many hours of praying. The whole time I kept checking myself to try to figure out my emotions. It was an endless cycle of prayers to make sure we were fully following what God’s plan was for us. He is the business. He pushed us into it. Quite literally, in the best sense of how God can physically push people. We were depending on him now more than ever to show us where we needed to go next. We had a calming sense that he wanted us to trust and build to grow the business.
So we are.
We are so happy to announce that we have purchased a mobile kitchen! Let me preface… We have given money to a company (Caged Crow Fabrications out of Wisconsin) who is going to make us a CUSTOM mobile kitchen! Not only will we be able to do the services we currently offer, but we are going to expand to the beyond! This gives us more opportunities to create more options for off-site catering jobs! We are able to take on more personal chef accounts, if it is desired. We are also able to vendor! That’s right. We just may be right downtown serving up some tasty treats. Nothing is 100% yet, but that’s what we’re working toward. (We also just bought a cotton candy maker. HELLO! What the heck are we doing?? It sounds fun, right? Let’s see where that goes…)
This is an extremely exciting, but equally terrifying, time for us. Obviously the doubts of failure surface quite often. Will we have time and the resources to be able to do everything we want? I kept coming back to these questions and even more, I repeatedly felt God say “It is well. I got this.”
That means it’s time to rebrand. Focus who we are, why we do what we do, so you guys have utter faith in us to serve you drop-dead spectacular cuisine. It’s going to be even more hard work. But I’ll tell you what. I’m up for the task.
Keep checking back for updates. This is going to be one heck of a thing.
