I have strange kids. I’ve known this for awhile, especially my first born. He wouldn’t eat Kraft Mac and cheese for the longest time, but he would make my homemade stuff all day long. Thankfully his palate changed. He is pretty good at trying new things, especially if there a camera in front of him and he can review it. Though his favorite is reviewing candy. Duh…
We were shopping at our local grocery market, Horrocks, when this guy saw Jeremiah looking at the prickly pears. He kindly warned Jeremiah not to touch them because they had spines that you couldn’t see, but could stick in your finger. He showed Jeremiah the way to handle it and prepare to eat it. And then he did the nicest thing EVER. He gifted one to my curious boy. You would’ve thought he had won the lottery. Not much to please this kid, let me tell you. (aaaaand uh, I’m not complaining.)
He begged us to do a food review video for you guys on how to eat a prickly pear fruit, and also what it tasted like/how it is. So if you’ve ever wondered, watch Jeremiah’s food review video. It would seriously tickle him to pieces if you did.
We also go to Holland State Park during our family trip to Holland, MI, which has absolutely nothing to do with prickly pear fruit. We absolutely love living in west michigan, and we often forget our beautiful our state is. One of the perks we get on doing these little food/family videos, is an excuse to record and archive our growing family. So if anything, that part is just for me. But enjoy it anyways!
